Much brouhaha has been raised over Michelle Obama's lavish vacation extravaganza at an opulent Spanish beach resort. Shooing vacationing commoners away, she and her gaggle of friends took over a beach in Marbella and dined on lobster with Spanish royalty. Some say the First Lady should demonstrate the sacrifice her husband has been urging Americans to embrace during these difficult economic times, and many feel the Obama administration is out of touch with the American people. Of course there's others out there who feel otherwise and that Michelle Obama is simply demonstrating "positive living and the American dream of prosperity". Medium: photo illustration and digital paint.

um, no. maybe you should read about what other first ladies have done during similar situations. This is just really dumb, proving that the public is constantly misinformed by a biased media.

I think people saw in Obama someone who would solve everything like a magician (it's easier than understand reality as it is) and now that it seems like he's just a human being, better than others but not a magician yet, they try everything to denigrate him.
Well, you do a great work with your satire, as ever.
Have you ever thought of Gaga a subject for a work of yours?

Thanks all! I couldn't resist illustrating the dazzling media circus.
Jules: "Arms" heh.
Okay, back to working on the Gallery of the Absurd redesign.... not fun, but she needs a little rejuvenating lift after all these years. Back soon....

well, GIVE HER A CALL TO ASK?

Give me a break. She took a vacation like so many well off Americans. She paid for the trip since they were both already millionares before they even went into the white house. The only thing we paid for was her security, which may I remind you that they even follow her to the bathroom! she can't fly on Delta you fools. First ladies take trips all the time, even when your not paying attention.

14, I've been waiting for your follow-up to the “Meerkat Messiah” - now “Arms” is being called out for her Opulent 375k Summer vacation. Barry seems more comfortable doing business at NBC rather then Washington D.C., and the whole administration has the stench of celebrity. Not a dignified, classy, buckle down and get to work Presidency.
Absurd on all levels as our nation sits near 10% Unemployment. Trillons in debt.
Good for you for daring to take on MEchelle.

Hypocrites transcend party lines.
That rapier foil is sharp as ever--Game, set, and frickin' match.
Note to self: Green tea through nose doesn't hurt as bad as milk through nose when laughing really hard. Cleans out the sinuses nicely. Let me know when you post again and I'll prepare by filling a Netti pot with the stuff.

"Should we consider this an artistic cliché?"
In popular culture, the phrase "Let them eat cake" is often attributed to Marie Antoinette. However, there is no evidence to support that she ever uttered this phrase, and it is now generally regarded as a "journalistic cliché" which first appeared in The Confessions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, written before Marie Antoinette even arrived in France.

When are you people gonna quit picking on Naomi? Don't you understand diamonds are a girl's best friend?

She is so gross. That was the only PG thing I could muster to say. I've already blogged about it and it's pretty vitriolic.

OMG like she's still totally the best dressed and everything - pink wig and all!!!
