A few weeks ago, I asked my friend (and one of my favorite artists) Robert Hardgrave to be a guest artist on Gallery of the Absurd. He's not obsessed or corrupted with celebrity gossip like the rest of us, so he had no idea what to do. Robert innocently said "I guess I'll have to go buy a tabloid so I can see what's going on out there". !!!!! Oh, how I wish I was still as innocent as he!!! He's one of those people who when you ask him about Kevin Federline, he says "who's that?" That is why I love Robert. Here is his version of Paris Hilton.... I think he captured her beautifully.
I'll be back with regular postings starting in April. I'm working on a super secret celeb project with a HOT gossip blogger right now. Soon, very soon we'll unveil our madness.
Veteran game show host Bob Barker is stepping down from hosting The Price is Right after 35 years.

OK, I THINK THOSE BOOBS ARE GIVING HER MORE CREDIT THEN SHE DESERVES, WHAT YOU THINK?
FYI: GREAT ARTWORK

Ah, Mr. Hardgrave! Such a lovely visage! But I think he was tricked by Ms. Hilton's probable use of bronzer in some specific--erm--areas; Her boobies aren't that big...
Love it.

She looks like an anorexic Vogon from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie.
Posted by: JA | April 20, 2006 at 12:17 PM
and oh yes...is "Paris" or "Spoiled Bitchy Airhead" hidden within the lines of the drawing?
Posted by: Ronikins | April 11, 2006 at 04:26 AM
Somehow, I think she should be all mouth, and the head more of the pinhead variety.
Posted by: Ronikins | April 11, 2006 at 04:24 AM
nah, the boobs look to big to be hers
Posted by: bobby | April 05, 2006 at 09:27 PM

Posted by: demarriob | April 05, 2006 at 04:09 PM
Fantastic similarity. Love it.
The only problem is the boobs. The boobs are WAY TO BIG.

Great picture of Paris...it captures the quintisential elements of her visage!
For anyone who has not seen pictures of Britney "posing for her mother-of-the-year award" - the picture on this March 29 blog could be worth a few chuckles:

Keep up the great art and thanks for sharing!

I thought this was a drawing of Tori Spelling! All these tramps look like hammerhead sharks!

Sorry, unrelated again, but uh, I wanna see you do Naomi Campbell, beating up little old ladies.

Lovely job Robert.
Paris Hilton with a hint of Tom Cruise influence.
(by influence, I mean alien)

Is it just me or has anyone ever noticed there is a VERY good reason why she always poses for pictures with only one side of her face showing? Because she looks hideous straight on. I've only seen one picture, and my eyes bled. AND she's cross-eyed I wish I could remember the rag, DAMN!!!!!

Score, Jessica Menn! Total Conan-monster. As sketched by Hirschfeld and Charles Addams, maybe?
Posted by: Viper Tetsu | March 29, 2006 at 12:34 AM
I think i will have nightmares about this one. :)
Posted by: Rix | March 29, 2006 at 12:28 AM
Very good! My 14, you really have some friends in high places. You go! I still don't like Paris, but this does make her a little more bearable to look at.
Posted by: Chansmom | March 28, 2006 at 10:31 PM
Great! Except I don't think Paris's breasts are that big. lol
Posted by: Tracey | March 28, 2006 at 09:54 AM
Very like Al Hirschfeld! But better, more psychological.
Posted by: tricia | March 28, 2006 at 07:58 AM
Oooh...I hope it's with DJ or MK.
Posted by: Chantelle | March 28, 2006 at 12:50 AM
Am I the only one who is reminded of the monster at the end of "Conan the Destroyer"?
Posted by: Jessica Menn | March 27, 2006 at 12:01 PM
Wow, she looks like the fish alien commander of the Jedi in Star Wars III.
Posted by: Moonmaid | March 27, 2006 at 11:22 AM
Horrifyingly Beautiful. Love that ulta uber pointy nose.
And 14, a collaboration with you and Trent would be like the planets aligning. I'll keep my finger crossed.
Posted by: DonnaJEM | March 27, 2006 at 10:35 AM
Perfection, indeed. I was tempted to say that the portrait enhances some of her less attractive facial features, but on second thought, NO WAY. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Mr. Hardgrave. Your rendition is simply spot on and inspired.
Cheers.

OOooh, Trent WOULD be awesome. Also, this piece is divine! Only thing, she is not so stacked. That girl is straight like a ruler.

Simply a genius...
Posted by: isaelda | March 26, 2006 at 05:51 AM
What a work of art. This is actually a more beautiful rendition of Paris. She looks stunning.

Thank you everyone. I now know who Kevin Federline is. It's almost like I've eatin the forbidden fruit now. It tastes nasty!!
Posted by: farmerbob | March 25, 2006 at 01:03 PM
Robert, you are a awesome. Is this one of those pictues that you can turn upside down and see what she will look like in 30 years? Or will we just see her Herpes infested crotch. I need to know because I have a weak stomach.
Posted by: Crees_dahl | March 24, 2006 at 09:54 PM
beautifully hideous!
its so... creepy...
i love it!
Posted by: alaina | March 24, 2006 at 09:50 PM
Wow, thank you Robert you have captured how I feel about Paris Hilton beuatifully. Ever since I saw my first episode of the simple life the only way I can see her is her nauseating, condescension and vanity , and lack of true compassion obscuring any possible physical beauty she might have. P.S. I don't know who Kevin Federline is either, yet.
Posted by: Guy | March 24, 2006 at 09:40 PM
Is it Trent? Cuz that would rock!
Posted by: April | March 24, 2006 at 07:51 PM
The Mona Lisa of the new millenium.
Posted by: vlcupper | March 24, 2006 at 06:07 PM
Wonderful. The perfect image to match her monster "personality."
Posted by: Redhand | March 24, 2006 at 05:52 PM
That's brilliant; in the classic vein of Saul Steinberg or Al Hirschfeld. You go, Farmer Bob!!!
Posted by: Cyclops Kitten Natividad | March 24, 2006 at 05:50 PM
i hope its trent
Posted by: scone | March 24, 2006 at 01:58 PM
As long as it's not Perez, I'll be happy.
Posted by: Penny Woods | March 24, 2006 at 11:40 AM
She is completely hideous, yet beautiful. The perfect modern nightmare. I must print this out and hang it on my wall. Thank you 14 for introducing this wonderful artist to my eyes. Robert, you are truly a marvel.
Posted by: Long Island Irish | March 24, 2006 at 11:32 AM
Robert, you don't know who Kevin Federline is? You poor, poor soul! Paris is lovely. Just lovely. I never thought I'd see you paint a celebrity, but, this works, for sure. The perfect blend of beauty and horror.
Posted by: Kamala | March 24, 2006 at 10:46 AM
Wow, what a face! Gorgeous, hideous, wonderful! That visage is burned into my brain for good. She's stunning!
