This is what happens when I watch too many of those disturbing food and agriculture documentaries circulating on Netflix (hey, it's better viewing material than all that blur of Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker rom-com crapola they've got on there). Combine that with my love of vintage wacky packages, and this is what came out of me. Anyway, I find it laughable that certain poultry processing giants claim their chickens are raised on "family farms", roaming freely across verdant fields, clucking and happy in the sunshine while rosy-cheeked Farmer Joe gazes lovingly over his flock. Uh, no. Medium: Ink on paper, digital paint. Thanks Viper!
Update: A few of my readers have asked me why I don't post as much celeb satire here as I used to. It was a LOT of work to keep up with the current trashy gossip and crank out so many weekly posts. It began to drain me and I suffered massive burn out. Those mind-numbing Kardashians and Lohans can really do a number on you if you aren't careful. These days, I still find the occasional inspiration in a paparazzi photo or a silly news story over at Dlisted, but I'd rather just be an artist and draw whatever I feel like drawing on any given day. One day I might wake up and decide to work on my deck of playing cards - another day I might be in the mood to paint Madonna (currently in process) or Karl Lagerfeld (swoon), or I might visit a grocery store and see some confounding new chemical food-type thing and want to draw that. Thanks for reading my blog!
Wow this painting is fuuuuny! Pretty good stuff!

Like many others, I'm sure, I just love your artwork - period! I can imagine that keeping up with the gossip news cycle is exhausting. Keep following the flow of your inspiration!

"Bagged Salads Recalled Over Salmonella Fears"
Really! This story just broke on the TV news!
Guess a new art card needs to be added to the group.
Damn!
There goes my Salmonella Frankenstein chicken parts healthy food choice alternative!
(Gee,.. Zombies don't have to worry about this mess)! "What's left!?!

I remember "Wacky-Packages", & was a fan of them, too! Your food subject depictions & great artistry & humor are as good or even better than anything The Wacky's ever did!
Totally can relate to the celebrity-gossip-burnout position.
I say, draw whatever inspires you best & when you want to,.. and for my part, I'll still be here, happy to see what wonderfully creative & fun gems you come up with!
Now, excuse me while I whip out my potentially unsavory chicken parts!
("Processed Salmonella",... "It's What's For Dinner!").
