Karl Lagerfeld Wearing His Own Murban

When I read about Karl Lagerfeld urging men to slap a turban on their heads in the name of high fashion, I wanted to see what Karl himself would look like wearing one.  The turban, errr "Murban" shown on the sleek male model in the accompanying article wasn't the sort you'd see on a handsome Sikh riding a fine stallion into the sunset, nope, it looked more like something granny would wear to keep her hair dry while she swam her morning laps at the local YMCA. Sure, in my dreams. This is the intro as it appears on the first page of my Sketchbook Project.  I'm drawn to eccentric elderly people and Karl is one of my faves.  Medium: Ink on paper.

Karl Lagerfeld's Leetle Teddy Bear

I am not a materialistic human being. I never want the latest designer purse, could care less about fancy cars and watches, designer clothes, or the latest in modern kitchen appliances...but I simply MUST have a Karl Lagerfeld Steiff Teddy Bear. I would treasure it above all trinkets and would perch it on an alter in my art studio and gaze upon it in utter waves of joy.

Karl Lagerfeld and His Leetle Dolly

Aside from traveling during my Spring Break, I became completely obsessed with the image of Karl Lagerfeld holding his Karl Lagerfeld Barbie Doll and painted multiple versions of it.  On top of that, I was offered a SOLO show at a LA gallery set to open in approximately 8 weeks. Gulp.  Needless to say, I'll be spending the days leading up to the show working on new pieces, completing older works I never bothered to finish, and UGH, all that matting and framing and shipping.  SInce it's April Fool's Day, I may be joking. Here's another version of the image as it currently hangs in my studio. I wasn't kidding when I said I became obsessed. Medium: transfer sketch, collage, gouache, acrylic on paper affixed to the wall with Lagerfeld-esque tacks I created from tree pods. Happy Birthday Molly and others who were born on April Fool's Day.

The Truth Behind Starlet Crotch Photos

We're pleased to report that these young ladies are simply wearing Karl Lagerfeld's sizzlingly sexy new line of lingerie - Seductive Baboon. Lagerfeld noticed striking similarity between the mating behavior of the female baboon and that of certain free-wheeling Hollywood starlets and was inspired to create a line of underwear that resembles the swollen ass of a baboon.  We know, it's hard to tell the difference, but that's where Lagerfeld's genius is apparent. Sexy, no? Karl shares his insight with us:
